Milos is an island of 151 square kilometers, situated 86 nautical miles away from
Piraeus harbour, in the Southwest part of the Cyclades.
Its beaches cover an area of 125 kilometers!!!
The island's highest point is Profitis Ilias at 751 meters. Of the most interesting
characteristics of Milos is that its bay constitutes one of the biggest naturally formed
ports of the Mediterranean.
Despite being a large island, only 1/5 of it is populated and this populated area expands
around the church of the ancient castle. The main villages of Milos are Plaka, which is the
capital, Plakes, Triovasalos. P.Triovasalos, Tripiti, Pollonia, Zefyria and Adamas
(or Adamandas) which is the port.
