There is no on-site reception at the property. The reception is operated by Athena Travel, and our office team will assist you before and during your stay.

Self check-in is available via lockbox. The key is stored inside the lockbox upon arrival. Guests are kindly requested to return the key inside the lockbox upon departure.

Self check-in instructions are provided for late arrivals.

For your convenience, we recommend arranging an optional escort/transfer service, as addresses on the island do not include street names or numbers and the property may be difficult to locate, especially after midnight.

Please return the key safely inside the key box upon departure.

Late check-out is subject to availability.

Luggage storage is available at our office after check-out. Transit Lounge access is available upon availability and an additional charge applies.

As late-night arrivals take place outside our working hours, locating the property after midnight can sometimes be a little challenging.

Sandy Toes is located on the ground floor of a renovated traditional fishermen’s house, just steps from the water on Firopotamos Beach, offering immediate access to the sea.

The space is designed for functional and comfortable accommodation while preserving the character of the original fishermen’s structure.

It includes a small kitchen suitable for light cooking and simple meal preparation, as well as a private bathroom.

Air conditioning is not available. Natural ventilation is supported by the property’s direct seaside position.

Tap water is not drinkable. Bottled water is recommended for drinking and cooking.

Breakfast is not included.

The nearest organized market area is Triovasalos, approximately 4 km away.

We recommend organizing your shopping before returning to the property, especially during the evening hours.

Firopotamos is one of the most iconic coastal landscapes of Milos — a small traditional fishing settlement on the northern side of the island, where volcanic rock, whitewashed architecture and crystalline waters coexist in perfect balance.

This is not simply a beach. It is a preserved Cycladic micro-village where time moves slowly and the sea defines daily life.

Firopotamos is renowned for its syrmata — traditional two-storey fishermen’s houses carved directly into the volcanic rock.

These unique seaside structures are one of the most authentic architectural features of Milos and form an essential part of the island’s coastal identity.

The bay feels like a natural swimming pool. The water shifts between emerald and turquoise tones, remaining remarkably clear and calm, especially in mild wind conditions.

Because the settlement is tucked between rocky cliffs, it often enjoys relative protection, offering peaceful swimming conditions compared to other exposed northern beaches.

Agios Nikolaos Church: A small blue-and-white chapel positioned on the rocky edge of the bay, offering panoramic views over the Aegean.

The old stone ruins and arch just behind the chapel add a subtle historical presence to the landscape.

During the summer season, a beach bar operates in the area, maintaining a relaxed and understated atmosphere by the sea.

Just a short drive away lies Mandrakia, another traditional fishing settlement built directly on the shoreline.

Smaller and equally picturesque, it preserves the same authentic Cycladic character.

Mandrakia is home to the well-known seaside tavern Medousa, one of the island’s most beloved dining spots, particularly known for its fresh seafood and sunset setting.

Firopotamos and Mandrakia are ideal for guests seeking authenticity, architectural character and immediate connection to the sea — away from organized beach environments and high summer intensity.

Public transportation is not available for this destination, and it is not recommended as the main means of transport for guests choosing to stay in Firopotamos.

A private vehicle is strongly advised for greater flexibility and convenience.
